Internet Explorer users please read!

Do you have the icon above on your desktop? Then you have Internet Explorer!

If you get a yellow security warning bar (above) you will not be able to view some pages on this website or they will not display correctly!

What Internet Explorer is trying to block is Active-X, which is a web browser add-on that allows things like small windows opening up (NOT pop-ups), flash animation, videos (though there are no videos on this website), etc. Examples of ActiveX controls are: Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash Player, Apple QuickTime Player, Microsoft Windows Media Player and Real Player. Active-X is 99 percent safe!

To view this website correctly please add it to your trusted sites! There is nothing on this website that will harm your computer!

To add my website to your trusted websites do the following:

In Internet Explorer click on Tools / Internet Options, click on Security tab. Next to Trusted sites click on "Sites." In "Add this website to my zone:" add my website address:

tarasresources.net

To copy: Hold down your left mouse button, drag across tarasresources.net to select (hi-light) it, right-click on it and select Copy. Click in "Add this website to the zone:" and press Ctrl-V, or right-click, and select Paste. Or type in tarasresources.net manually. You do not need to add http://:. IE will add it for you.

Uncheck: Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone.

Click OK, OK. You'll see a green trusted zone icon at the bottom of IE indicating a trusted website.

Alternatively, you can allow each webpage manually by clicking on the yellow bar, click on "Allow blocked content," click Yes in "Are you sure you want to let this file run active content?"

Even better dump Internet Explorer - it's a security risk - and switch to award-winning Firefox!

I have over 15 years of computer tech experience. IE is the most widely-used web browser because it's included with Windows, but it's also the least secure! Using IE is like opening up your computer to anyone with a minimum of hacking skills. I don't care if you have two firewalls*, IE creates a tunnel through firewalls. If you care about the integrity of your computer don't use Internet Exploder!

*As someone said when I told them about IE. You only need one firewall! And be sure you have an antivirus program and keep it updated.
