Marie Paule and Lise (pronounced "lease"). Lise had a great sense of humor and was easy to talk to. Marie Paule was the only one who spoke no English. When we first saw each other she said something in French and I in English and neither of us understood each other. Then she gave me a big hug -- the universal language. Sitting at the far end of the couch (background right) is a FTM (female-to-male). Their surgery is more complex than for the MTF. At the near end is one of the ubiquitous red donuts to cushion our derrieres after surgery.
